My Qualifications
I’m Josh Seligman, owner and founder of Thrive Health & Performance. I’ve spent my entire career working with and coaching professional athletes and high achievers. After more than 20 years on the road, I want to take what I’ve implemented in optimal health, fitness, and ageing and apply it as a private in-home and virtual health coach to help those in Wisconsin’s Lake Country THRIVE.
I’m a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS*D) and Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach Emeritus (RSCC*E) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). I am also a Licensed Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainers Association, and a Certified Health Coach (CHC) through the National Society of Health Coaches. My comprehensive educational background consisting of 2 Master’s Degrees, covers performance enhancement, health analysis and interventional strategies, injury rehab, nutrition, motivational interviewing, and behavioral modifications.
I spent the last 20 plus years working in professional baseball, 12 of which were as the head strength and conditioning coach for the Milwaukee Brewers. I was part of the Major League Baseball staff voted back-to-back training staff of the year, and was the first Major League Strength and Conditioning Coach voted to the MLB all-star game. I’ve coached professional athletes ranging from Olympians to Cy Young Award winners, type A personalities, and top executives. Being a father close to 50, with a job that kept me on the road most of the year, allowed me to not only explore and develop cutting edge performance and training techniques, but to truly understand how they can be applied to live a happier, healthier life with a chaotic schedule.
